Google Lens werkt bijna hetzelfde als de visuele zoekopdracht van Pinterest, maar het aantal geretourneerde hits is altijd een functie van het aantal afbeeldingen in de index. Pinterest heeft hier een duidelijk voordeel en benut dit op dit moment volledig. Google is nog steeds de leider van het pack als het gaat om zoekmachines, maar Pinterest positioneert zich op zijn minst als een sterke concurrent voor het specifieke gebied van Visual Search SEO. Met name rich pins maken van Pinterest een zeer interessant alternatief.
